The purpose of this study is to evaluate the antimicrobial effect of bay laurel extract (Laurus nobilis, L. nobilis) on chicken meat during storage for 15 days at a temperature 4 C̊ . Chicken meat was treated either with doxycycline (positive control) or with bay laurel extracts (100ppm,300ppm,900ppm), negative control was chicken meat without any treatment. The Folin measured total phenolic content- ciocalteu colorimetric method. The total plate count (TPC) of bacteria was monitored after the days (1-7-14) of treatment. All extracts showed antimicrobial activity against the tested bacteria, but the 900-ppm concentration was most effective for extending the shelf life of chicken meat.

The rapid expansion of telemedicine has reshaped healthcare delivery, particularly amid increased demand for remote services. However, disparities in usage, awareness, and trust remain significant barriers. This study investigates the patterns of telemedicine adoption, perceptions of safety protocols, and associated challenges among healthcare professionals and patients. A cross-sectional observational study was conducted in November 2024, involving 111 participants: 3.5% healthcare professionals and 86.5% patients. Data were collected via Google Forms distributed through social networks and during patient counselling sessions. The questionnaire assessed demographics, frequency of telemedicine usage, and awareness of telehealth safety measures, including data privacy and security. Results showed that 42.3% of respondents used telemedicine occasionally, motivated by convenience, while 27% used it rarely due to limited awareness, trust concerns, and usability issues. Frequent users (5.4%) were typically more technologically adept. Younger participants (18–30 years) demonstrated higher acceptance and ease of use, whereas older individuals (>50 years) required simplified interfaces and additional guidance. Awareness of data security protocols was inconsistent—18.2% were unaware, and 44% only partially informed. Notably, even healthcare providers with fewer than 5 years of experience reported challenges in using telehealth tools effectively. The study highlights critical barriers to telemedicine adoption, including limited awareness, trust issues, and user interface difficulties, particularly for older adults and inexperienced providers. To promote broader adoption, the study recommends targeted interventions, including public awareness campaigns, enhanced communication about safety protocols, user-friendly platform designs, integration of telemedicine into routine care, and specialised training for healthcare professionals.

Presents an ethnobotanical and botanical survey of medicinal plants in Talal Sakambhari District of Udaipurwati District under Jhunjhunu District of Rajasthan State. The Sakambhari Hills are part of the semi-arid Shekhawati environment, which supports diverse plant communities traditionally used in local tribal and village health practices. This study was conducted to investigate local knowledge of medicinal plant uses and to assess the ecological distribution and community structure of these species. 35 species of traditional medicinal plants, belonging to 22 families, have been identified, highlighting the wealth of traditional plant knowledge and the need to conserve these valuable resources, which are often threatened with extinction in the region.

The polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrine disorders in women of reproductive age. Many studies indicated the health-supporting effects of phenolic compounds in reducing the symptoms of PCOS. The richness of Origanum Majorana in phenolic compounds may enable it to have a role in the treatment of PCOS when it is consumed as a functional drink. This study aimed to investigate the effect of Origanum Majorana on the number and size of cysts in patients with PCOS. Origanum Majorana tea (2 g of Origanum Majorana in 200 ml water) was consumed daily by ten PCOS women for two months, with monitoring of the size and number of cysts. The consumption of Origanum Majorana tea decreased the number of cysts, since there were no more patients with high cyst numbers (more than 15 cysts). Additionally, the percentage of patients with 11-15 cysts decreased to 20%, while an increase in the number of patients with fewer than 11 cysts was recorded (p-value < 0.05). On the other hand, giving Origanum majorana tea to women with PCOS reduced cyst size; the percentage of patients with very small cysts increased to 50%, with no patients having cysts between 8 and 15 mm. Consumption of Origanum majorana tea reduced the number and size of the PCOS lesions, indicating a therapeutic role for O. majorana in PCOS when consumed as a herbal tea. It could be said that the phenolic compounds present in Origanum Majorana tea improved the condition regardless of age. Diet and BMI can affect patients’ outcomes after consuming Origanum majorana tea.

This review analyses innovative semi-hemic bioinspired iron (III) complexes and their utility as catalysts for oxygen atom transfer (OAT) in both chemical and photochemical contexts. The research is motivated by the biological function of human endosulfatases (e.g., HSulf1 and HSulf2), enzymes that regulate heparan sulfate (HS) sulfation—a modification with profound roles in cancer, inflammation, and related pathologies. We detail the synthesis and characterization of novel dipyrrinsupported iron complexes engineered to stabilize high-valent ironoxo intermediates, which are critical reactive species in OAT catalysis. Emphasis is placed on employing green oxidants such as dioxygen and water to promote sustainable and efficient catalytic processes consistent with environmentally benign principles. Mechanistic insights into OAT pathways, elucidated through spectroscopic techniques, reveal detailed interactions between the iron centre and substrate molecules. A primary obstacle in the field—the instability of high-valent iron intermediates—is being addressed through innovative activation strategies that enhance both catalytic reactivity and complex stability. Additionally, the review summarises progress in developing endosulfatase inhibitors, particularly sulfamate-based agents, which offer promising avenues for modulating HS sulfation patterns. By elucidating fundamental iron-catalyzed mechanisms and refining the design of selective inhibitors, this work establishes a foundation for novel therapeutic approaches targeting diseases driven by aberrant HS activity. Future directions will focus on improving inhibitor potency and selectivity, as well asinvestigating targeted delivery methods. Together, these developments not only advance the fundamental understanding of iron-mediated oxidation chemistry but also forge new connections between glycochemistry and biomedical applications.
